What formula are y’all planning to use for newborn?

I am planning on breast feeding, but I want to prepare for the possibility of not being able to do so. There are so many formula choices out there!! That all “have different things” or claim different claims...I am a bit overwhelmed...

my midwife who is also a lactation consultant doesnt think it's a good idea to buy or have any formula in the house if you plan on only breastfeeding, because there will be times you will get discouraged or too uncomfortable and if the formula is readily available, you will be tempted to use it. So I wont be purchasing any at all, unless I learn that for some reason I cant breastfeed.

I think most of the companies will send you a free trial size. Then you can try them and see which one baby prefers. Some kiddos don’t care, some do.

If you’re doing a hospital birth they typically have a few different kinds stocked that you can try while you’re there if you need to!

I’ve never had formula in the house and have successfully breastfed five kids to a year and beyond.

My dd1 used enfamil gentlease and my doctor had a free sample so I grabbed that again 😂 
Hoping it isn't necessary though! My dd1 didnt have formula until she was 7 weeks old because I drank a little one night on vacation lol
When my supply dropped when I was back at work I had to supplement off and on, and am really hoping that won't happen again!

Im exclusively formula feeding and am starting with the Walmart brand of Similac sensitive.
