Pregnant but still get period?

So I just finished a very short 3 day period one day being heavy. So I already know I’m basically out & have to try again. Just curious though, has anyone gotten pregnant but still got their period in the beginning and didn’t know they were pregnant? Just wondering if there’s possibly still a chance for me that I could maybe get a positive test if I tested today 😫😫

You cannot experience actual menstruation during pregnancy but spotting can occur, especially early on. Usually it’s not a cause for concern and is most commonly due to hormonal changes or cervical disruption. Intermittent bleeding can happen but it’s very rare and would require more frequent monitoring. Not all vaginal bleeding equals a period, but any bleeding during pregnancy should be reported to your doctor just to rule out anything serious.
