Short femur?

Question

I had a growth scan done at 31 weeks and his femur is measuring in the 6th percentile. Anyone else deal with this and baby was fine? My doctor didn’t seem concerned but of course it freaked me out.

My midwives told me that the further into pregnancy, the less reliable ultrasounds are at measuring baby. A lot of people are misdiagnosed with “large babies” or “small babies” in the third trimester. I wouldn’t worry about it. If anything he might just be on the short side when he’s born. 😊

Our little guys femur was “out of range” on his 20 wk scan but I’m 31+5 now and he’s caught up. If the doc wasn’t concerned, I wouldn’t worry but I know that is so much easier said than done. If something was wrong there would’ve been more markers.
