My miracle baby FINALLY made his arrival!

Kaleena

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019 I was scheduled to be induced at midnight. I had to be at the hospital at 11:45pm Monday night to sign my papers and get admitted. Well at around 2 am, they inserted a gel to soften my cervix, then again at 5 am, and a third dose at 7 am and they started the petocin. Nothing was happening until around 8:15 I got up to pee, and I felt a small amount of liquid trickle down my legs and it dropped onto the floor until I made it to the toilet. I explained it to the nurse, thinking my water broke, she said it wasn’t my water. At around 10 am, contractions started! And boy oh boy, I had back labor something serious! I felt nothing in the front part of my body. I eventually requested an epidural. Before contractions even started, they had to stop the petocin because my babies heart rate slowed tremendously. They had to attach a monitor to my babies head, twice. The midwife tried to break my water, BUT THERE WAS NONE. My water had been leaking for weeks. The doctor on call decides to try an amnioinfusion, it didn’t work. We tried petocin 3 more times and the last time, my heart rate and babies heart rate flatlined so they decided it was time for a c section! At 7:54 pm Micah James Andrew Taylor entered this world weighing 7lb. 2oz. and was 19.5 inches long! I call him my miracle baby bc I have always been told after being on strong medicines for a brain tumor, I wouldn’t be able to carry. And 2 miscarriages had only confirmed that for me. So that made my sweet boy even more special 💙
