Should I ask about Metformin?

Aaliyah • Southern raised. Death major. Biblophile. Skulls. Picked up a stranger and married him. 🤣 PCOS w/ baby #1 👶🏽

A little background leading to my question...

So initially when my husband and I got pregnant, the nurse practitioner we seen prescribed me to take metformin, provera, clomid, and a prenatal. Told my husband to take a multi-vitamin. Went through with it and it didn't work. So I took a break from it. This was in April 2018.

In Decemember 2018, we decided to try again and we scheduled an appointment to see an OB-GYN to discuss my PCOS and trying to conceive. So she prescribed me provera and letrozole and I decided to take a prenatal along with the provera as an aid.

January 29, 2019 I found out I was pregnant. Went seen the doctor and she said that I was looking really good. She discussed the plan of action I should take concerning the PCOS and I left.

The doctor I seen stated that she didn't see the need for me to take Metformin to get pregnant. The doctor from my first ob-gyn appointment never mentioned to take Metformin.

I'm currently 9 weeks and 2 days. My question is how many of you ladies has had sucessful pregnancies without metformin? So far baby and I are doing fine, but I want to hear other experiences if possible.
