It’s a promise ring, it goes on the left hand because he promises to replace it with an engagement ring 🤷🏼‍♀️ Have been wearing mine for 2 years and then switched it to my engagement ring.

Idk why but a lot of people, mainly on this app, say to save that hand for marriage and you’re not supposed to wear a promise ring on that hand but when I went to get my promise ring sized, the lady automatically did my left hand so I’m guessing that’s where its supposed to go🤷🏼‍♀️
