How many newborn onesies do you need?

FTM here and I’m completely lost on how many I should buy. I bought about 3 this past weekend which I know I need more than that. I just don’t want to buy too many or not have enough. Thank you!

For my first born, he basically lived in the footed sleepers the first several weeks, so I had like 10-15 of those.
Then I had 7-10 sets of short sleeve onesies and pants to rotate through in 3mo sizes and bigger. They go through a couple of wardrobe changes a day depending on spit up, diapers and all that. :)

I only had 5 newborn onesies because he stayed in sleepers. He just transitioned out of them and he’s 6 weeks.

My LO only wore newborn sized clothes for about a week and could have gotten by in just 3 month clothes. I loved the kimono t-shirts rather than the onesies to start because they don’t rub on the umbilical cord, so we didn’t really use newborn onesies at all.

I bought way to much clothes from nb-3 months lol I would say 10 max. My boy was in 6 months by months 4 cause he’s so tall.

Our daughter lived in onesies from 0-5ish months. We probably had about 15-20 for each size.

Depends on how often your gonna do laundry imo. I did it every other week and had about 15 sleepers 10/12 ss onesies and 8/9 ls onesies.
