I recently turned 20 and I want to take a trip to Washington in June with some friends for a week (of course, I’m paying for everything myself). However, I still live with my mom and she’s very strict. For example, she doesn’t like me hanging out with friends because she feels like I’m lying about what I’m actually doing. She only feels this way because when she was my age, she use to lie about her whereabouts a lot. So I share my location with her whenever I’m out. Since I live in her house, I have no choice but to follow her rules. But, I would really love to go on this trip, I just don’t know how to ask her without her saying no.

Also: I came out to her as bi and she doesn’t like that. It’s became very difficult for me to hang out with my friends because she feels that I have a crush on every single person I see, especially my friends. She won’t let me hang out in my room with them and she gets very angry when I ask to hang out with them. This is another reason why I need help trying to talk to her about my plans.
