IUI opinions?

TTC for 18 months now. My husband has been on clomid, anastrozole, and hcg injections due to low testosterone and sperm count. His most recent labs showed his test is now at normal levels. We are still waiting for the count results. On my end, I track my ovulation with the urine strips and seem to have regular periods/cycles. My doctor however is suggesting we go straight to IUI without checking anything else out on my end. No bloodwork, medications or anything. Has anyone ever had their ovulation tests not be accurate? I’m worried that’s kind of jumping the gun especially with the cost of IUI. Has anyone had any similar experience or had any further testing done on themselves when it was male factor infertility?
