26 weeks and 5 days my early baby
Well I knew he was going to be early but I had no idea it was going to happen when it did. So I was in the hospital on bed rest for an incompitant cervix I had a cerclage placed at my 18th week. January 29th I was put in the hospital because my FFN came back positive. They gave me steroids for his lungs and magnesium for his brain. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks all together. At about 130am on Sunday February 17th I woke up with a pain in my stomach on the right side that came and went. I went to the restroom and by 2 it still hadn't subsided. I called the nurse and she put me on the monitor. I had 3 contractions back to back. She had me drink a pitcher of water. They slowed down and almost stopped so she took me off the monitor. I called my mom and was on the phone with her and they started up again.
I called the nurse again because it had gotten worse. At this point I not only was having contractions but I was throwing up. I was so scared because of how soon it was.
My mom got there at 3:30 she started timing my contractions. They were 5 minutes apart and 1 minute long and I started lightly spotting. The doctor in labor and delivery was watching the monitor and she called the nurse and said I needed to get down there.
They take me to l+d. The doctor checks to see if I am dilated. I was already 7cm dialated at about 5:15 am.
They tried to put an iv in but couldn't find a vein. I had to have a central line put in my neck while I was contracting. By this time they checked my cervix and was at 9cm dialated. She said it was too late for an epidural because she was afraid my water would break. So she broke my water and instructed me to push. First contraction I kinda freaked out and tried to not push lol. They said that I needed to push because I didn't want me baby to be in distress.
My second contraction came and I pushed and out he flew with a burst of water. My boyfriend said it reminded him on M.I.B except the doctor didn't go flying. They laid him on my chest just for a minute and off he went to the NICU.
