am I most likely going to have twins?

So I have twins in both sides of my family.

Dads side:

-my dads moms dad is a fraternal twin

-he then had my grandmother

-my grandmother had my dad and uncle and they are identical

-my dad had me & 2 boys

-my uncle had a girl and boy

-my girl cousin had fraternal twin girls 2 years ago💕

Moms side:

-my moms mom is a fraternal twin

-I’m my moms only child

(I want to look more into my family tree to see if there’s more!)

But do you think I’m most likely going to have twins?

Maybe? Won’t know till you’re pregnant and get an ultrasound.

Identical is spontaneous and not hereditary. Fraternal are and only through your moms side. So all that info about your dads side wasn’t needed. Simple fact that your grandma is a fraternal twin on your moms side gives you a chance.

I also think there has to be some type of heredity pass to identicals because my side of the family has both crazily

Twins only come from the woman’s eggs. Has nothing to do with dad. I asked my doctor and my maternal fetal medicine provider. Only anything from the mothers maternal sude natters

No true. Dad can pass on the “Twin Gene” to his offspring daughters but he can not produce twins himself. Only the mother can produce twins. So if her Dad has the twin gene he could have passed it to her(his daughter).

We’ve traced twins back 8 generations on my dads side. The daughters of the males have always had twins. I’m currently pregnant with my second set of twins but I miscarried one the first time I was pregnant. We also have twins on my moms side. Maybe it’s coincidence but who knows?!?!

Just because you have a bunch of twins in your family doesn't mean you'll have twins. Its actually highly unlikely. I'm a twin and would have loved to have twins but I'm on my 3rd and last child and no twins.

You definitely have a higher chance than most but you may or may not have twins. In my family there were a lot of twins until 2 generations ago, and then no one had them, until me. That’s why people sometimes say twins skip a generation (or two) - it’s not strictly true but even in families with a lot of twins, not everyone will have them.
