An earlier post about birth control methods got me thinking about this topic. The original poll asked everyone what birth control method they used and one of the options was “pull out method.” A little debate began in the comments about if it’s actually a method due to its lack of effectiveness. I am not asking if you think the pull out method is a birth control method as we’ve all seen that post too often. I am asking what defines a method. Is it intent? Effectiveness? If it’s effectiveness, how effective does an action have to be to be considered a method?
