This has never happened to me but I’ve heard of this happening to wedding guests.

There’s a couple that’s been together for say 15 years. They have kids, a house they’ve had for years and make good money. They don’t need anything per say but they ask for the best of the best on their wedding registry. For example, they have a good blender but they want an “upgrade”, a much better one that’s expensive. None of the items are reasonably priced on the registry. But they’re throwing a lavish wedding.

Would you go with their registry knowing they don’t need those things or get them something not on the list that’s a reasonable price?

Personally I would get them something I feel like getting them in the reasonable price range for a wedding gift which is usually enough to cover your meal, and drinks if it’s open bar.
