Let's say you call and place an order at a Chinese restaurant to be picked up. Once at the restaurant to get your food youre handed the receipt and notice there's a tip line. Do you still tip even though you are taking the food home to eat it there? Or do you leave it blank and only pay the for the cost of food??

I ask because the other day my husband and I ordered food from a restaurant we've never been to before. When I went in to pick it up I left the tip line empty and only paid for cost of food. When I handed it back the woman rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath," of course."

I didn't say anything, just took my food and left. We order Chinese pick up quite a bit and this kind of encounter has never happened to me before and had me wondering if others tip when their picking up their food.
