What are your reasons for wanting a baby at this age?

I know I have a lot but just wanted to know if anyone has my views

I have no children. I didn't want to have children without being married and I didn't want to marry someone that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with. 
I met my husband when I was 40. (He was also never married with no children.) We laugh all time! We want the same things in life. We think of ourselves as a team and as a team a team we do better than we ever did alone. 
I didnt really decide to have children in my 40's. I just didn't have the opportunity until now.

I like this thread!!  For me I never wanted children. I was pretty firm through my 20’s that I did not want them. Then I hit 30. Something changed. Maybe it was my husband and I’s relationship we had matured. I started seeing myself as a mom. Took me until 34 to get serious about it. Got pregnant right away!  We now have a beautiful 7 yr old girl. When she was one I went to nursing school. No way you can get pregnant during nursing school. So we waited. I didn’t really think I wanted another one. But then my baby grew up and I find myself longing for another little one. I’m just not ready to not be needed you know?  So here we are hoping for another even though I have let so many years pass by.

I waited for a healthy relationship cause I didn't want to happen to my child that happened to me. I was raised by my mothers ex husband and although I love my daddy (non bio dad), it nearly took my life that I had a different father. I never wanted to inflict that pain onto my child. I met my husband at 44 and we started trying the day we got married. We did things the right way for us!

Hello me and my partner don't have any kids together I have 4 children to a previous marriage 
We would love to have a baby together to add to the family my partner has no children we are both 41 yrs of age,we were lucky to fall pregnant in October 2018 but unfortunately ended in ectopic and have been trying since😊 I'm currently  8-9dpo as of today😊 best of luck everyone 😊

I have one son that I had at 35. Completely the wrong guy. Now I’m in a long term relationship-my son is 6 yrs old and wants a sibling. I don’t want him to be an only child. My bf has a 11 yr old daughter (she too is an only child) so we would LOVE a little one to round out our blended family!!!
The situation is totally different this time and I would love to have a positive and supportive experience unlike my with my first child. I had a miscarriage in October and I’m more determined than ever!! It’s the Scorpio in me! 😂 good luck, peace and blessings! 🍀🙏🏽

I was ill through my 20’s and 30’s ( not logical to try to have a baby when you can’t even fend for yourself). I certainly did not want it this way or this late, but I did not have a chance until now. I’m no different from anyone else, I would like to have a family of my own too. My circumstances did not allow me to have a chance until now. It certainly was not by choice, but by circumstances beyond my control.

I’ve always wanted kids but my ex husband has absolutely nothing to do with them and therefore we didn’t have kids because it’s not fair to the kiddo. Met my new partner when I was 40 and he loves loves loves children (he has 18 nieces and nephews). We almost became  parents but lost him ☹️

I met my now fiancé when I was 38 and we started actively trying for #1 the second month we were dating. Neither of us have kids. I knew I wanted to be a mother way earlier but went through a horrible broken engagement in my late 20’s and hadn’t met anyone special for most of my 30’s. It’s now been 27 months with no viable pregnancy.

I have 4 boys and my husband doesn’t have any. He moved to America from Jordan to be with me so he has no family here. We want just one together. I love my husband to pieces and want to share this bond with him more than anything ❤️
