Bambino Mio Miosolo

Okay so I'm new to cloth, my son is 14 months and I've recently purchased some bambino mio Miosolo nappies. I really have no idea what I'm doing. I've had people mention liners to me but I'm wondering if these nappies absolutely have to be used with a liner or can they be used as they are being an all in one nappy?
