Any other mommas needing a wound vac?

After several complications I am being set up with a wound vac after my c- section reopened and hasn’t healed.  I am wondering how long did anyone have to have it for, how long did it take to completely close us, how painful is/was it and any suggestions on concealing it under clothes. 
Any and all information welcome

It was 4 months before my incision completely closed. Had a massive infection around the 8 week mark and was miserable. It took 5yrs for me to consider number two.

I had one for 5weeks, it was put in 3weeks after my c section, due to major infection and complications. I had to be put to sleep every 3days to have the sponge changed. 
It was huge and the whole wound was opened with a large sponge. The vac was annoying remembering to carry it to the toilet etc and loud when sleeping but it was helping. It was painful every 3rd day when it was changed over but got better the next however I couldn’t sit up only lay down or stand up. I stayed in hospital for the whole time I had it.  
Having said this I was emotional at the time and hated it and still now mentally scarred but I know it helped to heal me and was a good thing to have.

I had one. I had it immediately after my c section and had it for I think close to 2 weeks. I didn’t have any complications or any pain from it. It was just mostly annoying trying to remember to grab it when I stood up. I constantly dropped it. When it was time to get it removed I was afraid it would hurt, like sticky tape coming off your skin. But it was a breeze, no pain. As far as concealing it, sometimes I could have it sit against my hip and secured a bit by my waistband of my pants. But I really didn’t go anywhere other than drs appts for the baby, so I didn’t worry about concealing it.
