Not sure if this is the right group.

My oldest boy is 9. He’s generally a good kid. He’s respectful to adults, he obeys most of the time, he does chores to buy stuff he really wants, and he has never made a grade below an A on his report card. He recently came to me and told me he wants his ears pierced. Mine and my husbands family is kinda conservative. They won’t like it too much. Would you take your 9 year old boy to get his ears pierced? I’m thinking I will this weekend but just curious to what other moms think?

I appreciate the comments from everyone! Good to hear other people’s opinions. I’m pretty sure we are going this weekend to get them done. My husband and I discussed it and decided it is his body and he is mature enough to care for them. We wouldn’t even consider this if he was a bad kid but like I said he’s generally a good, well mannered kid. I will upload a picture of him after we get them done.
