Am I selfish?!

Ok. My son is 7 months old and has been EBF the entire time. I’m getting burned out. I’m still fat, and I want to diet and lose weight. Mom shaming is so real and I shake myself but do you guys think I’m selfish if I stop for that reason only?

No I don’t think that’s selfish. Everyone has their own unique story for why they stopped breastfeeding. Seven months is a long time to have breastfed. You have to do what’s right for you to be healthy in order to be a good, loving mama.

I don't think you are being selfish. You have to do what is best for baby but sometimes what is best for baby is having a mom who is happy. If you are that burnt out you would probably benefit from quitting. 
That being said if you aren't sure what you could do is just start dieting and making the changes you want to quit to make. If your supply drops you can always give more solids and formula. Sorta a slow wean I guess.

No you're not selfish. No matter what you do there are shamers. Every mother has their own personal reasons for stopping/continuing breastfeeding and it's not anyone's place to judge.
