Ramzi theory debunked?

So I asked my ultrasound tech about ramzi theory when I went for 6 and a half week scan and she looked at me like I was a bit odd...I explained it’s about what side the placenta is on blah blah. She said but the placenta doesn’t even begin FORMING until 10 weeks!!! You can not see it this early. I felt a bit silly. I’m thinking this ramzi theory is all bonkers!

It is incorrect that the placenta forms at 10 weeks. It begins to form right after implantation and what actually produces the hormone (HCG) that gives you a positive pregnancy test. Yes, Ramzi theory is just that... a theory.

I asked mine too and she’d never heard of it. I did it with my 3rd (boy) and it was correct. I did it again and it says girl. I think it’s probably hogwash but it’s still fun guessing.

Ok thanks. She said that it is not even visible at this time due to the corpus luteum  providing the nutrients to the baby the placenta doesn’t start to do that until week 10 which is why normally morning sickness subsided around this time. She seemed to think I was crazy asking about this theory
