Please please please no judging. Im freaking out a little bit because i saw online smoking cigarettes while pregnant increases chance of stillbirth and SIDS and i smoke 1-2 cigarettes a day but today i have been really stressed and smoked about 5. Is this okay to do some times ?? some times i do smoke more than usual. Please dont judge me. Has anybody smoked while pregnant i need stories and i knew to be assured that my baby will be fine because i have smoked more today...

I hope you're honest with your Dr. It is definitely not a healthy thing to do. But you have made it this far I'm assuming smoking this much. Maybe if you talk to your Dr about it there is a way you can wean off safely? Just try to relax and stay as calm as possible. Maybe see if you can do something else to help with stress

Give yourself a break. Not much u can do about now but try to not smoke anymore. In the 20s- 60s a lot of moms smoked, doc even recommended it. Some kids had defects but many were fine. Try to be easy on yourself being preggo is hard and no one is perfect. Try gum or vape non tobacco flavored stuff to help w cravings. 🤗

If you’re gonna panic and think somethings wrong with the baby then maybe you should stop smoking cigarettes while pregnant. No it’s not okay to smoke 5 cigarettes. Not even one. Talk to your ob so they can make sure baby is okay. Although baby can be fine now, the problems probably will come after delivery

My sister delivered her baby last year healthy and she smoked cigarettes and weed. Not condoning your smoking, I was a smoke and I quit when I found out I was pregnant. There’s a meth addict on this app who gave that up when she found out she was pregnant. So no sympathy for you, but plenty for your baby. Either way, best of luck.

Theres no doctor that's going to tell you that that's okay. Not 5 a day and not 1 a day. If you care about your baby at all you would have quit for 9 months. Or in this case a month. It's common knowledge that smoking during pregnancy can cause serious issues. Sure theres people out there that will tell you that they did and their kids are fine but why would you ever risk it if you loved your baby? I'm a former smoker and I know damn well that it's not that hard to quit. Especially not when you're doing it to protect your baby.

Its never ok to smoke during pregnancy, the long term effects are variable. Instead of channeling it into worry and smoking more, use that energy to find ways to quit for both of your health. Go see a chemist/gp/midwife for quitting support and start your stop journey today. You'll never regret that decision and wont have to worry any more
