Is your baby sitting on their own yet??

My daughter will get in the sitting position on her own.. but, she sits in her knees (picture attached) is that normal?? My son always got in the sitting position in his own; sitting on his bottom. But my daughter always sits up on her knees. Can this effect her bone structure or anything?? I meant to bring it up to the doctor at her last check up but I forgot and her next check up isn’t until she’s one...

You should definitely try to avoid her sitting like that.  I had to bring my two year old to physical therapy and while she doesn’t have any issues with her hips, the PT saw her sit like that and told me to correct her immediately as it can cause hip issues in the future.

Did the doctor see her sitting like that? I ask because that picture looks like it is at the doctor’s office. If the doctor saw it and didn’t say anything I’m sure it is fine. Doctors observe a lot, but don’t always comment on everything unless it is an issue.

I know someone who has issues with their knees because they sat like that's as a baby, they're only 18 so shouldn't really have any issues yet. Now whenever I see my son sitting like that I make sure to correct his sitting.

My babe sat normally at 5m but mostly sits like this now. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
