I have a sweet 1 year old dog who has been sick since January 24th she was treated for a UTI and about 9 days later she threw up 3 times and then 2 the next day and then the next had diarrhea. We decided to bring her in, they tested her blood and took a x-Ray of her stomach and they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary they said the give her rice and plain chicken and then gave her some fluids. It’s been 3 days and she still doesn’t seem herself but today she had a full on bloody stool. I quickly called the vet back and they said to bring her in. They gave her a wet type of food and some meds also gave her some more fluids. We came home and she threw up 3 times. They didn’t even say what it was caused from. The thing is that my family is leaving on a trip on Sunday the 10th and getting back on the 18th and she is supposed to be boarded. I’m just in shock I’m not even sure what I should do because I’m not sure if she will even be able to board and I don’t want her to go if she isn’t feeling well ( I will call them in the morning to see) I know I will probably have to stay back because I’m just unsure. Could this be life threatening? I’m calling the vet back again tomorrow to get some more answers because we were quickly rushed out because they were closing. I just need some answers to ease my mind.
