Gasping While Feeding?

So my son is a week old and when I’m feeding him he’s like gasping to catch his breath like hes getting too much milk. Should I worry ? What can I do to help ?

My little one, now 6 weeks old did that same. I have a very strong letdown and she takes so much in at one time, then would  catch her breath after. They’re just learning how to eat, my doc said it’s normal. You could express before feeding. My daughter worked it out within a few weeks. Now shes super efficient

You might have a powerful letdown. You could try manually expressing milk before you nurse him?
