So , it all started Friday morning at 945am. I went into my drs office to have a membrane sweep. I was already 3cm 50% -3 and was in triage on Tuesday with consistent contractions. Around 230 my dr called and told me to come to triage since I was having contractions 3-4 minutes apart. I got there , got hooked up, contractions were registering but they checked my cervix and I was still 3cm 50% but now -2 station. So he was going to send me home but Kingston didn’t have a reactive heart rate strip as they would like and kept having dips just like Tuesday when we were sent for monitoring from MFM. He decided to admit me and deliver baby so induction started around 530pm.
Nurse got my IV hooked up as I waited to be transferred to delivery room. As soon as I got there pitocin was started being increased by 2 every half hour until contractions were consistent and very uncomfortable. I really hoped to go natural but I did go ahead and get the epidural and boy I’m glad I did. I had the worst back labor and I never ever had it before. I was screaming , crying , and I actually threw up from the amount of pain I was still feeling even with the epidural, even with a strong more concentrated medication given to me that worked for about an hour. Well, thankfully within that hour I was fully dilated and his head was right there. My exact words were omg thank you. I’m ready to push. 😂😂😂 8 hours of labor total ,
5 minutes and 6 BIG pushes later came baby boy Kingston with nice strong lungs and nice loud cry💙💙
