I had a emergency c-section over 6 years ago. Well the way my doctor talks I’m gonna be scheduled for another one with my current baby.  My question is... will he still do cervix checks at appts to see if I’m dilating? I honestly don’t know how this works. Please explain

Do you want a c-section?  It is up to you.  After 6 years there’s no reason you couldn’t try for a natural delivery if that’s what you wanna do.  Some doctors seem to think they can make decisions without consulting the patient but they need your consent to do anything

I had a scheduled csection with my second and my ob never checked me.

I only had one at 38 weeks with my twins before scheduling my c-section. Not sure if we’ll do that this time since it’s already scheduled.

They didn’t do cervix check for me because i was scheduled c-section and it didn’t matter.

I never had mine checked during appointments. I only had it checked once because my water broke before my scheduled CS so they had to do my CS a couple days early 😊

Most doctors don’t do cervical checks anymore unless medically necessary. They’ll most likely schedule your csection for before your due date so you don’t go into labor. Are you wanting another csection?
