I am almost 7 weeks. I got my blood drawn at 6w1d and 6w3d. 2 days apart and the numbers were 50,999 on first draw and 52,119 on second draw. This is clearly not doubling in 48 hours so they asked me to come in for a third blood draw 48 hours after the last draw. The third draw was at 85,439.. so increasing but not doubling. The doctor emailed me (in response to my questioning) to say that the second and third beta HCG were increasing appropriately and I could come in 2 days from now to get another HCG count to see if the trend continues. I think the doctor may suspect an ectopic pregnancy because the lack of increase in the first two draws. Although I have read that it takes more than two or three days to double once the HCG is over 6000. What do you think?

UPDATE:

The HCG levels were perfectly normal and I am currently 18 weeks pregnant. Waiting a couple weeks to find out the gender of my little rainbow.
