Does/ would anyone else mix breastfeeding AND bottle feeding with formula?

Just wondering what everyone’s opinions on both breastfeeding AND bottle feeding with formula is? I want to try and breastfeed as much as I can but incase I can’t produce enough, mix it up with formula for the majority of the time? 
I know it’s not unheard of but I’d like to see your opinions.

I plan to. At least for a little while. I want to breastfeed as much as possible, but I also want to get a decent stash so I plan to substitute some formula in for a few feedings to get a good pumping stash going. I don’t really plan to be away from the baby much, but I also have a toddler and having some help from my husband or someone else being able to give a bottle in a time of need is my main goal. Hopefully between the Hakaa and doing this it’ll help.

I actually was a baby sitter for a while before I got pregnant (that's were I got the baby fever). Anyway his mom had me mix half breast milk and half formula, that way he got used to the difference between formula and breast milk... worked well and just heated it up like a normal breast milk bottle so the nutrients from her were still active.

Oops I voted no thinking you meant mixing it in the same bottle. My last baby I did combo feeding and it worked perfectly! She had a latch issue and we couldn’t get BF to work. I pumped but just wasn’t making enough for her to get full so I supplemented with formula. I just wouldn’t recommend mixing the two in the same bottle, babies don’t always finish bottles and breast milk is like liquid gold so let them fill up on milk before making them a bottle of formula :)

With my first I had trouble with my milk supply so I had to breast feed him and then formula feed him and then pump to increase my supply. It increased my milk and I was able to strictly breastfeed after not too long.

Supplementing is totally fine! I had to with my first because my supply was just not enough for her.

When I went back to work with my second, I had our daycare gal mix formula and breast milk to make my stash last longer. This time around with my job baby will be with me but I’ll still have formula on hand to mix if need be, especially when we finally go out after baby lol.

It is extremely rare to have a truly low supply. If you feed on demand in the early days, you will produce enough. If you aren’t committed, you won’t stick with it because it is hard and takes determination.
