Do you have to be a resident of a state to get an abortion in that state???

I’m debating w someone, apparently there is a law proposed in some state that would require a father to also agree to an abortion before a mother can get one. Couldn’t a person just drive to another state and have it done ???? Or do they have to live there

Ya that's what most women did was go to another state for an abortion if they didn't live in a state that had abortions. The issue was that some people back in the day would have had to travel very far to get one, so it increased back alley abortions that caused women to die.
