Affordable bassinet recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations? We have the Chicco LullaGo Portable Bassinet and my son hates it. I’m also not a huge fan as it doesn’t have enough breathable mesh on the side...my newborn wiggles all over and often gets really close to the side and I’m afraid he will wiggle down into the non-mesh part and suffocate. He’s a side sleeper.

Also, anyone using the Rock and Play sleeper at night? He napped in his today for the first time and slept for 2 hours which is a new record. Hearing lots of moms using this in place of a bassinet. Thoughts?
