Okay so I’ve like told my bf about how hard it is that my grandmas losing her memory. Like cried to him. And he knew that I was going to baker to visit her for the weekend In a whole different state. Anyway, he never asked like how it was or how she was. a friend of mine who barely even knew why I was going asked that right away. And so did one of my guy friends. I was just wondering if you’d be bothered if your bf didn’t ask. Cause I’ve openly expressed to him more than anyone how hard it is, and also how he doesn’t seem to care or ask enough questions about my life. Am I over thinking it?

You may be overthinking it. He may just be trying not to bring it up because he knows it’s hard for you.
But if it’s bothering you, you should communicate that to him. He can’t know you’re upset about it if you don’t tell him.

I don’t think you’re over thinking it... I think it’s very inconsiderate for him not to ask you about your trip. I would bring it up and tell him how you feel about it. I believe in being very transparent with a partner. If something is bothering you, you should most definitely tell him.

i totally understand why that makes you upset. but honestly, sometimes i do this with my boyfriend and it’s mostly because i feel awkward bringing it up, but it’s not like i don’t care!!

you could be overthinking. maybe he really did just forget that today was the day you were visiting her. maybe try mentioning it and see if he asks you about it. if he just ignores it and brushes you off, then yep! he’s inconsiderate
