Separation anxiety already?

Question

In the last few days, my daughter (who has always been a happy, smiley baby) has been crying when others carry her. Even with my mom, who she sees several times a week. She will give me the saddest face and start crying...and will cry at others for saying hi to her. 
Is this separation anxiety? A phase? It’s very unusual for her 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s early but sounds like it certainly could be. You can help by always telling her in advance before leaving the room or handing her to someone else. If you are leaving her with someone, give her some transition time with you and the other person together before you leave. Always say goodbye, don’t just sneak if when she’s not paying attention. Play lots of peek-a-boo so she learns you always come back. And try your best not to assume she’s going to cry when you hand her to someone, she will sense you feeling anxious anticipating her cry and that will only worsen her anxiety.
