Stopping labor

At 34 weeks 6 days I went into labor and they gave me shots to stop the labor and sent me home. I’m 35 weeks and 5 days and I’m starting to have contractions again. How long do they usually wait before they quit stopping labor with twins? The babies are over 6 pounds each. I haven’t seen my dr since and I can not get a straight answer from any of the nurses.

My water broke at 33 weeks 4 days. They kept my contractions at bay long enough to get both rounds of steroid shots. I had the babies at 34 weeks exactly. Vaginal birth. Mo/di twins. It depends on your doctor I guess.

Did your birth with Mo/Di twins go well? I’m also expecting Mo/Di twins and would love to have them naturally 🙌🏼

I went in at 34 weeks contracting every 2 minutes and dilated to a 4. They stopped my labor but I had contractions until I delivered (37+3). They told me they wouldnt stop labor at 35 weeks, but they also wouldn’t help it along until 36 weeks.

Interesting! I don’t know about what they might have done if I had something already scheduled. I was induced but I didn’t have my induction date set at that time. I didn’t think they would stop it if your water broke and you were that far along

Thank you, my c section date is the 29th, and I had contractions every 2-4 and I was dilated at 2 and haven’t been checked since. I just had different nurses telling me different things, one nurse told me they’ll keep stopping it until my c section date even and they will even try stopping it if
