Soon to be 35, wedding in June- should we begin TTC now?

Dress is a non-issue as I can alter it, but my only detractor is possibly being sick during the festivities. Husband is 44. I feel like we should start trying now in case we have trouble conceiving so we are a few months ahead of the game, but if we get pregnant right away it might be inconvenient. The chances are so low I am thinking start now. Help!

We are 5 months from our wedding now and have been trying for 3 months. Before that I was like I don't want to be pregnant when I get married but now, all I want is to be pregnant so if I am when we get married I don't care. In fact I think it would be nice to have our child at the wedding ❤. Go for it!!

I think if I am lucky enough it happens by then, I won’t be far along. I really do think it’ll take a while. Good luck to you!

We only want the one so there isn’t a lot of pressure, but I also don’t want to be carrying at 37 😑

That’s a hard one! Some people get pregnant first cycle and some take longer and you wouldn’t really know until you try!! I thought I’d have a hard time getting pregnant but got pregnant on cycle 2. I ended up miscarrying though and went on to get pregnant quickly again and miscarry again. I didn’t really think I would miscarry (I was 28 and 29 at the time, I’ve always been healthy, regular periods, etc). Anyways I would not want to deal with a pregnancy or G-d forbid a miscarriage near your wedding day! It is just devastating and I couldn’t have imagined having to pretend to put a smile on my face while dealing with that. Sorry to be a downer but there is always a risk of miscarriage and I think we often don’t think of that.

Yea I don’t know if you would know until you lived through it. It’s awful. Also if you get pregnant right away you could lose your baby after seeing the heart beat etc. good luck with your decision and your wedding!

This is very true! I often think an early MC (of my own) wouldn’t bother me (I’m pretty clinical when it comes to pregnancy) but who knows. I’d also be hormonal so I can’t really predict how I’d feel
