Just had 7wk ultrasound with my RE and confirmed no heartbeat. Everything was fine at 5wk and 6wk US so we were very surprised😥. We have d&c scheduled tomorrow and they recommended doing genetic testing of the tissue since this is our 2nd loss. Problem is, nobody has been able to tell me what that costs. I’m assuming it’s all lab fees but since I don’t know what the official name of the test is, I haven’t been able to verify with my insurance. Online forums have indicated it’s anywhere from $200-$6,000. I can’t get hit with some crazy bill after dealing with this loss so I’d really appreciate the peace of mind of knowing the cost.

Does anyone have experience with this testing. Do you know what it’s called specifically? If you paid it out of pocket what did you pay?
