When to tell the kids?

We had 2 chemical pregnancies in the last six months and this one has given me positive lines for about a week, the others were only positive for about 3 days. My 10 year old has been snooping and has suspicion were expecting but I don’t want to break her little heart if it doesn’t happen. My question is when do you plan to tell your other little ones? I have two DD ages 5 & 10

We waited until closer to 10/12 weeks to tell the kids last time, but lost the baby at 18 weeks. Knowing that I can lose the baby any time, I don’t want to rob my kids of the realities of our family by hiding things that I can’t ultimately control anyway, so we will be telling them earlier this time. If we suffer another loss, we will suffer it again as a family and they will have to deal with some adversity and not have a totally sheltered upbringing. I want them to know that sometimes bad things happen and that’s totally normal and you get through them with support from family and friends and by openly communicating. It’s not something that traumatized them, they were sad but it brought us closer together and they treated us a lot more like humans, they were very sympathetic and gave us hugs and read us stories and asked us how we were doing. Through all the heartache, I got to see that side of them really come through. So hopefully it’ll be their sibling in November, but if not, we will still grow as a family. Win win

My step son is 9 and he wants a sibling so bad, he’s an only child (so far). I’m 6 weeks today and don’t plan on telling him until after my first ultrasound which will be around 8 weeks. Maybe even a few weeks after. It’s hard cause it’s my first pregnancy and I’m so beyond excited to tell everyone lol

I told my whole family the first time at 12 weeks...we miscarried 3 days later. Second (successful) preg we waited until 13 weeks.
Surprise pregnancy when my baby was 11 months...waited until 13 weeks, found out at u/s there was no heartbeat and it had stopped growing at 11 weeks.
Just got another bfp...I’m tempted to wait until it’s born.

I have a DD age 8. We’re going to wait until 12 weeks to tell her just in case. I just wish I could explain to her why i’m so moody lol

Our kids are 12 and 14 and felt the disappointment of our loss in Oct. We decided to only tell our parents after first ultrasound with a heartbeat (🤞 ) then tell extended family and our kids closer to end of first trimester. We don’t want to put stress on the kids about it, just let them know once we’re hopefully almost in the clear.

My oldest was 4 when I found out for my first miscarriage & he really didn’t understand then I had another when he was 5 that he understood & we had seen the babies heartbeat so we were all confused! When I got pregnant with his brother we waited until I was out the first trimester. I’m 4 weeks pregnant now & we will wait until My appointment at 9 r 10 weeks. 
My first Mc baby stopped growing at 6 weeks & my second I passed at 9 weeks.

Some times kids are just good listeners and figure things out. My nephew is 9 and knows about at least 2 of my 3 losses but he says “they’re trying again whatever that means”. It’s hard because you don’t want to break their heart but that the same time it’s their sibling. ❤️ you gotta do what you feel is right.

From have I've heard they tent to tell you to wait till after your first trimester.

I have 12 year old and 4 year old girls, i wont be telling them til im closer to the 12 week mark :)
