How do you start getting regular periods with PCOS - TTC

Hi,

I am TTC but I have zero to none periods! I can go like 10months without having one and then when I do it's not like a normal period, just a bit of brown stuff(old blood the doctor's have called it).

I got married in November and started taking vitD3 tablets which on my honeymoon I got actually for a period and then the next 2 months continued getting a period! I thought omg yes this is it, I went to the doctor's to just let them know we're trying so I had it on my records and he told me to start taking folic acid. Month 4 came and there's been no period and a negative pregnancy test 😔 also can I just say we have actually been trying since April last year but without a period I know I've not got a chance.

Does anyone have any recommendations or tips on how to start getting regular periods please!!! 😭

Even with fertility meds it took my mother 7 years of TTC to have me, it sounds like your PCOS is quite severe and, usually, to have a working ovary you should be having at least 3 periods a year. Try adding more aerobic cardio to your fitness routine, swimming and other white fat burning actuivities, it should lessen your symptoms and help.

If overweight is one of your pcos symptoms, only loosing 1-2kg a month may help a lot. I got a more or less regular period from the first month that I started loosing weight.
