This is my first time posting so I am going to give you all my story.

For those that don't want to read my whole story, I ovulated 5 days later then my projected ovulation date. My typical period would have started Yesterday but my 2 week wait ends Saturday. When should I test?

For those that want to hear my story, it's a long one but I appreciate it!

I got married September of 2016. We started to try almost right away. I missed my period for about for October and November, this wasn't unusual for me. I skipped months a lot. The end of November I got my period and I bled for 2 months. Fearing the worst, a miscarriage, we got even worse news. I was 320 lbs and my weight was causing a hormonal imbalance. My eggs weren't releasing on time but my uterine wall continued to thicken. My egg would finally release, I'd have 2 months worth of thickening to shed, hence the heavy, prolonged bleeding. I was told that even if I was able to get pregnant, I would be at risk and so would the baby.

So I made a choice to change my love, I began the process of bariatric surgery. I got the Gastric Sleeve procedure done July 2017. I have sonce lost 120 pounds. My bariatric surgeon wanted us to wait at least 18 months, preferably 2 years before trying to conceive. Right after surgery, I started to have regular periods again. January I was officially 18 months post op and ready to start TTC.

I bought an OPK and started testing during my predicted fertile window, never got a positive test. But my hubby and I had sex every other day just to be safe and I did get my period right on time. February I started testing the day my period ended, I was determined to figure out what was going on. I tested every day of my predicted fertile window, didn't receive a positive result. I continued to test because I couldn't believe that I wasn't ovulating. I ended up ovulating 5 days later. We did the baby dance obviously.

So now the question is, my period was due yesterday, Monday, according to my normal cycle but because of my late ovulation it is due Saturday. I tested yesterday and it was negative. Do I test again Saturday? I'm just really confused by all of it.
