What are the best baby items! (UK)

What are the best prams around? Main question! 
Best car seats? 
Cots/nursery furniture? 
Bits I’m going to need?!

Where are you from? If Australia everything has to follow safety standards when it comes to baby, especially care seats. 
Solid cots are best. In my experience in childcare I would test out cots in the shop. Pull the, side up and down and make sure it is easy but also stays up with a bit of pressure (when baby learns to stand they will lean against it and if the side the opens falls down then baby falls out). 
High chairs.. You want the legs to be further apart at the bottom them the top as this prevents tipping and I also prefer ones that don't have padding etc because the padding makes it hard to clean and unhygienic. Ikea high are amazing to be honest. 
I would just get a wipable cover change mat with the raised sides and change them on the floor if you can.
Car seats... I honestly don't know. Australian has safety standards so I would look for the sticker to say it follows them. But anywhere else I have no idea.
