Brown discharge, no period

I need help! Reassurance! I’m freaking out. My period was due on the 8th and I started spotting brown discharge on the 10th and when I wipe it’s sometimes light red. Usually I get brown discharge after my period. I called my fertility doctor and they did a blood pregnancy test. It’s negative. I have PCOS and I’m scared something is wrong with me? Is my period long to come or is this it or has it stopped? Or is it too soon to tell if I’m pregnant? Please I’m so scared.
