Can your baby imitate an animal upon seeing or hearing the name?

Mine knows so many and all their sounds! Pretty much any animal I name he makes the sound. Doesnt really use many words but has all animal sounds down 🤷😂

This makes me feel like we are behind 😬. I try to get her to say sounds and she laughs.  She only says momma, dadda, uh-oh, and kiss noises. And she knows where her belly, nose and eyes are. Guess I need to start with sounds focusing on sounds too.

He turned 16 months on the 7th
Cow-Moo
Lion/tiger/dinosaur/shark or anything with pointy teeth- “argghhh”
Dog-“guau guau” Spanish version of woof woof I guess 
Duck -“taaat” hasn’t figured out his a sound 
Cat-“brr” I guess when she purrs? I thought since we have a cat he’d at least know that one. 
Snake- “sssss”
Elephant- he blows air out really hard until his face turns red 😂
Just learned sheep-“beee”from one of his Spanish YouTube videos so I kept asking him what a sheep made and that’s how he learned that one. 
He always points to giraffe, zebra, rhino and animals like that and I’m not sure what sounds to make 😪
We bought these Melissa and Doug magnets from Walmart and use those to teach them along with other toys from them.

I speak Japanese with my son. He can make animal sounds in Japanese for dog, cat, ducks, and lion. In English, he can make sounds for dogs, snakes and cats. As for actual words, he says cow, bird, whale and fish in English and dolphin in Japanese. But he says a lot of other words like car, bus, ball, moon, corn, zero, nine, yellow, etc in English. Then Carrot, potato, bath, apple, car, pants, bread, grapes, no more, ouch, etc. in Japanese.

Not 10 yet. But he just learned chicken and knows dog, lion, dinosaur, and rat(we have a pet rat that he squeaks at).

Cat, dog, bird, duck, sheep, goat (random 🤷‍♀️), chicken, horse. She’s working on cow but so far it’s just “mmmm”
