Left ovary not seen during ultrasound
I had a pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound a few weeks ago to make sure everything was “looking right” down there. I’ve been TTC for 9 months with no luck. Hubby and I have both had testing done and everything has come back good. Anyway, when I had the ultrasound done, the doctor said it showed clear ovulation from my right ovary, and my uterus looked healthy and normal. However, she could not locate my left ovary. I was required to have a full bladder for the pelvic ultrasound, so afterwards she had me empty my bladder. When I came back into the patient room, she did the transvaginal ultrasound and found the left ovary right away. Was it just not seen on the pelvic ultrasound because of my full bladder? I’ve seen that this could also indicate an adhesion from something like endometriosis...
