SO has just dropped the bombshell that he is planning on going on a 2/3 day, lads party holiday for a mate’s 30th just 4-6 weeks after I give birth. He doesn’t see why I’m upset by this. I’m not happy about it because I don’t trust him (there’s been texting, flirting, and recently a lot of cocaine issues in our 2year relationship), even if there weren’t a baby in this scenario but there will be and I think this is absolutely absurd. If I have a c section I won’t even be able to drive by then.

Let him go. Heres why.... 2 years is an investment yes. And now you've had a kid together. But for 1, he may change his mind after becoming a dad. And 2 if he doesn't change his mind and he goes and acts a fool then I think you have a clear indication of what your future would be like if you stayed with him.

I’m not saying I am going to stop him. I just can’t comprehend how he hasn’t realised this is wrong so soon after the baby comes.

I agree with Camille, you can’t stop people doing what they want although I’d feel exactly the same if my OH said he was going away that soon! It’ll show you exactly what’s meant to be though xx

Yeah na you’ll feel like shit the whole time, he’s a dad now where’s ur party 2/3 days away? He made a commitment to you he can honour it

You will be able to drive by then, unless you have a manual that is crazy difficult to drive. I would let him go. It’s not that long and like others have said, you can’t control him, and if he decides to go crazy then you can decide early on that it’s not going to work. If he really wants to do these things, he will in secret eventually.

I'm not sure how can stay with somebody who can do cocaine but maybe he changed and will not do anything bad 🤷
