So when they say your risk of miscarriage drops dramatically at 12 weeks. Is that 12 weeks from LMP or 12 weeks ultrasound age? Just a bit confused.

Usually they have to be similar. If they’re more than 5 days apart then doctors use your first ultrasound (with a heartbeat) to know your gestational age

Just saw my doctor and I’m 7.5 weeks and asked this too . After you hear the heart beat it drops quite a bit and it use to be first trimester at around 12 weeks. Now they say 10 weeks.

If your doctor changed your due date because of your ultrasound you go by that if not by LMP.
