Safe to drive?

Are used tires safe to drive? I called a place & ask him and he sounded weird about it.. “it should be”

It depends if there is still good tread left on them. If you stick a penny in the tread and can still see the top of Lincoln head, then there’s not enough tread left on them.

It really depends on how used they are. If they have good tread and the alignment wasn’t off causing uneven tread wear they should be fine.

Depends on how much tread is left, the type of tires, the weather conditions. Stuff like that. Some tires should never be driven if the temperature is below 40 degrees. All-weather is best if you have extreme temperatures. Just make sure there are no cracks and that there’s enough tread, you should be good.

I used to buy used tires when I couldn't afford new. I never had an issue, but that was just me. It drives me nuts when my husband insists spending money we dont have because he thinks he's to good for used items
