Mya Ann is finally here 😍

Alyssa • 24 and have two kids. Married ❤

Yesterday at my 39 week appointment I was 4 cm almost a 5 so we swept my membranes. I went home and started having contractions around 4 pm but nothing consistent until around 7 pm I lost some of my mucus plug with some blood.

I decided to go lay down for bed around 10 pm and started to get SUPER intense contractions lasting 30 seconds to a minute, 3 minutes apart for about an hour. I waited till about 1130 to leave the house to head in.

We got there and they checked me and I was a 6! So that meant I was going to be admitted for sure. I was still having contractions 1-3 mins apart lasting 30 seconds to a minute. They checked me around 1 am and I was a 7. I decided since I didnt need to be monitored anymore to bounce on the yoga ball to help with the contraction pain. They were like a 5/10 pain scale. An hour later they started getting worse so I decided to climb in the tub. Omg girls if you can use a tub., do it! It was so relaxing and helped the contractions so much.

I was maybe in the tub for 15-20 mins? When I felt a bubble and thought well there goes my relaxing time, my water just broke. And sure enough I got out and my bloody show was everywhere..

By this time it's about 3 am when I get hooked back to monitor. Hell I have no idea how long or what my contractions were but they were terrible but they checked me and I was an 8!

I asked for nitrous oxide for pain management cause I knew shit was gonna get real but I was determined to not get an epidural this time round. I went through the most painful contractions til about 430 and my doc came in to check me. She said I was a strong 9 and to get ready for delivery but some of my waters was still intact 🙄

So 5 rolls around and I am yelling and hollaring through these contractions. Nurse asks if i want the rest of my water broke and i agreed. The moment my water broke, all hell broke lose. I thought I was gonna die for real. My water was broke at 5:26 and one minute later I HAD to push. I yelled I'm pushing! I have never felt this much pain in my life but kept reminding myself it's only temporary. I pushed half her head out and decided, I cant do it. So I passed out 🤷‍♀️ and came back and started pushing again and she was born at 5:33 am 😊

I pushed for less than 10 minutes and the docs were scrambling 😂 it was the scariest thing I've ever done but I'm so proud of myself and not giving into an epidural like last time. She was all worth the pain, and no tearing either!

She was born 6 pounds and 9 oz, 19 inches tall 😊 my surprise gender baby!
