Vaginal Health

Hey ladies, so this post is mainly for girls that struggle with yeast infections and girls who have sensitive vaginas like me. I’m very prone to yeast infections and BV and stuff like that so it took my forever to figure out stuff that worked for me down there but I finally found it so figured I would share!

Periods: I had really heavy periods for a while and they were painful. I finally saw my doctor about it and she put my on Seasonale birth control and now I only have my period every 3 months and they’re not as painful or heavy. I also took a hot bath on the days that my cramps were the worst and my flow was the heaviest because the hot water made my cramps feel better and the water slowed down my flow, as does ibuprofen!

Yeast infections/BV/Other Infections:

I’ve found that Summer’s <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> Aloe is amazing on my vagina because it’s so sensitive. I try to avoid shaving with a razor, instead I use a trimmer (yes, a men’s trimmer) and only actually shave when necessary. When it comes to wiping down there, I would hope everyone knows to wipe front to back to avoid infections but I also use baby wipes/feminine hygiene wipes. They work wonders and not only do I use them for that, but if I feel like my period is smelly and someone else can smell it, I use those to freshen up. They’re made for babies and women with sensitive skin down there so it helps a lot!! I also drink A LOT of water. My favorite is strawberry kiwi but supposedly lemon water is best for your vaginal health, so I drink one of the lemon waters every day and try to avoid taking antibiotics because they put you at higher risk for infection. I also take daily vitamins for women!!
