help!!!!!!!!!

does anyone know anything about HUD housing? We got an apartment with HUD because I’m pregnant and my

boyfriend kept getting laid off but now he has a job he won’t get laid off from and pays very good so we no longer need HUD housing. A lady in the office of our apartments said that when people start making more money they move out and then they quit their job and try and come back but how? how can you leave when you have a year lease? We want to leave because these apartments are awful the walls are so thin you can hear a pin drop and smoke from cigarettes and weed comes through the walls and full price is $600+ and it’s not worth it and i don’t feel safe anymore because two people got shot and killed awhile ago.
