What do you do when you love someone so much but can't trust them anymore😔

We broke up 6 months ago and he said he wants to be friends and see if something blossoms. Then a few weeks ago we had a fuck off argument and didn't speak until today and I still love him... I do... But I don't trust him... It's going to take a lot for us to even be friends at the moment (he says the same) but I love him so much... I just can't trust him😔
