Do you consider someone's POV before saying "you're being too sensitive" ?
In a time where "snowflakes" are thriving and outrage culture is prominent...other people are sharing their experiences in hope to shine light to issues and bring actual change- but they are often just met with "you're being too sensitive"
Arguably one of the most invalidating comments, it's one I see frequently on Glow. I suppose it's easy to say this to a stranger when you haven't lived their life to know how an issue has affected them personally.
So if you say this or are tempted to say this at times, do you really consider and try to empathize with someone's perspective before dismissing them as "too sensitive"? If you don't, what is it that stops you? (Anonymity, lack of empathy, inexperience, etc.) Why do you say it?
Alternatively,
How can this compare to if/when you say it to someone you know well (like your SO)
